This Tuesday! Shirts and magnets for sale at the The Dancel Y in Ellicott City from 8:00-11:00 am. I have both gray and red in adult and youth sizes. Cash or credit. All proceeds will be donated to the EC Partnership. Spread the word!

We had a great turnout this morning at The Dancel Y in Ellicott City! They were such wonderful hosts. In 3.5 hours we raised $2,868.37 in proceeds! It was great to see so many of you (some that I knew and some that were new) come support EC this way!

If you pre-reserved shirts for today and did not pick them up, please let me know if you would like them held for one of the other pick-ups. They will get put back if I don’t hear from you by this Sunday.

Thank you to my fabulous friends (also teachers on summer break) for their help this morning!

Up next: ECstrong Festival 7/28!

I am proud to share that based on the total shirts ordered and the final cost of the shirts from supplier, we will have raised $20,140 in proceeds for EC flood recovery (as long as everyone pays). This is a joint effort of 25 schools (HCPSS & BCPS), as well as 9 individuals taking social media orders for shirts. Once all money has been collected, I will donate it to the EC Partnership.

Thank you to everyone who was involved and to everyone else out there doing your part to help our community!

Stay tuned for announcements about future shirt sales locally!

I created a separate page just for information about locations shirts can be purchased and fundraising efforts. It is not a store, just means of communication.

Please feel free to share the page by going to it and hitting share rather than sharing this post. Thanks! - Avery

Over the last week, I organized an ECstrong shirt order throughout the school system with the help of fabulous friends and coworkers. In 4 days, it grew from just one school, to HCPSS staff at 23 schools, to a BCPS school, to people coworkers and friends knew. I will have the proceed total in the next week and share then.

More info about the next shirt sales to come. Right now my priority has to be my students and family. Once summer break is here I can devote more time towards fundraising. I am so appreciative of all the interest in wanting to support EC with these shirts. I never imagined they would become so big!

(I make no money off the shirts.)

(Real story: We have our family photo shoot today and I managed to lose the hair band that went with her outfit.)

Thinking of Ellicott City today, who was hit by the devastating flood on this day last year. I'm very proud that my t-shirts ended up raising over $10,000 for the EC Partnership to help with recovery. I was also able to donate hundreds of remaining shirts to the businesses who were hit the hardest. I am very thankful to be from such a giving and caring town and also for all the friends who helped with this endeavor. I look forward to sharing this special town with Sydney! Are you wearing your shirt today?
