Something that’s been on my heart lately🤎
As I continue to grow, you’ll probably start noticing my work changing a little. My heart is being pulled toward photographs that feel more honest. More emotional. That truly feel like real life
These kinds of images are perfectly imperfect, but they hold a story so much greater.
Sometimes you might look at a photo and think, Why didn’t she just edit that out? Or, If only that one strand of hair wasn’t on her face. But those little imperfections are often the very reason an image has emotion. They’re the reason you look at it and feel something
I know this style won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay.
I’ve realized I’m not meant to create perfectly posed portraits where every strand of hair is perfect. Everyone smiling every moment,. I’m here to capture life as it really is..true, real, raw, emotional, and meaningful
The ones that remind us we’re held close by God and deeply loved by Him amidst our imperfections
Because let’s face it we’re not perfect, and our photographs don’t need to portray perfection either. That’s not real. It’s not honest. And I don’t believe that’s what God calls us to reflect. Instead, I believe He is present in the messy, the ordinary, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make up our lives
There are so many amazing photographers out there, and every single one has a different way of seeing the world. If your heart is drawn to bright, perfectly posed portraits or a different editing style, I genuinely hope you find the photographer who feels like the perfect fit for you.
But if you want to remember the little things…
The moments that seem ordinary now but will mean everything someday…
That’s where you’ll find me.
