How do you feel about goals? I have more than normal this year, and I want to be able to look back and celebrate achieving them.

One that I’m most excited about is buying a potters wheel and learning to throw pottery at home!

This morning I read Philippians 1:9-10 and was reminded that more important than what I want to do, is who I want to be. I want to overflow with love, grow in knowledge and understanding and love for what really matters!

2022 was a year that proved the phrase I learned many years ago at :
“LIFE IS HARD BUT GOD IS GOOD!”

Throughout 15 years as wedding photographers, we have always prayed “God lead us to the couples that we need and to those that need us.” He has always been so faithful, and we have been so grateful!

At the beginning of this year, it looked like we didn’t have enough weddings to make our year. We had a 4 month break starting at the beginning of the summer, and we weren’t sure what to think of it.

As it turns out, God knew exactly what He was doing. Shortly after our last June wedding, my mom was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive cancer. She lived a street over from us and she helped make our world go around! The cancer came out of no where, and it took her like a whirlwind. God carved out that break so I was able to care for her everyday and be by her side as she left for Heaven at the end of August.

Not many of you knew what was going on behind the scenes, because as photographers, we never want to pull attention to ourselves. But now that we are wrapping up this year, we just want you all to know how much you have meant to us! This is truly an amazing community that we are blessed to be a part of.

We want to say a special thank you to our friends at . You guys make a job we already love even more awesome. You are far beyond colleagues, you are dear friends! Thank you for being at my moms service and supporting us on and off the field!

This year has been so hard! God has been so good! And we are so grateful for each of you that have loved and supported us through it! This is a year the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
