This an old post that I wanted to revive. The summer of 96, we went on an epic climbing trip. We were climbing at Lumpy Ridge in Estes Park when two other climbers showed up. I immediately recognized both of them. and 👊🏻 Introductions were made and then they had fun making easy work of our boulder problems. It was a ton of fun!!!!
That was the summer that Chris and Tommy were taking down 5.14’s left and right. Not much has changed in the past 20+ years.
That’s the cool thing about our sport. Young or old, we all pursue the same end goal. It’s always the next hard project and an endless fabric of new and old friends. I can’t think of a better way to spend the day!

This is what roofs looked like in climbing gyms way back in 1996. Climbers from might know this gym as . Back in the day, it was called Exposure Climbing Gym.
This was my local training gym. I can still remember the awesome people and horrible pea gravel floors. I’d blow black boogers for days after training. 😂😂
