Nothing beats a view like this while you wait for your plane to come take you back home to an even more scenic city like Houston.

Fun Fact: Eastern Sierra Regional Airport is famous for it's glider friendly wind patterns - specifically a phenomenon called Sierra Wave which generates great uplift for non-engined planes. However, it also creates some pretty unstable air for takeoffs and landings so be sure to stay buckled up at all times!

Stopped by Third Coast Volleyball HTX yesterday to watch some of the best beach teams in the country go head to head in one of the first weeks of the 2024 season. Here are a few of my favorites from the initial look through. Lots of great plays and better emotion from LSU Beach Volleyball, TCU Beach Volleyball and HBU Beach Volleyball. Was nice to start getting back in the swing of things before the AVP beach season starts to get going!

Starting to work through edits on last week's Canada trip and I'm really excited with what I was able to capture! The landscape in Western Alberta and Eastern British Columbia was possibly the most insane that I've been lucky enough to see!

This photo is a shot from above Marble Canyon on one of the many pedestrian bridges that criss cross the canyon. There's a whole lot of geological stuff I could talk about how it came to be carved like this but I'm just going to leave it as a picture with some pretty water because that's what you follow this page for anyway 🙂

Stadium architecture appreciation post. On my way home from Austin earlier today, I decided to check out Austin FC's shiny new stadium in The Domain. It really is a cool building with lots of great angles to photograph and colors that pop against each other.

I then decided to get some new photos of the Dynamo's stadium here in East Downtown. This year, Shell Energy has the naming rights and has updated all signage as well as installed new mesh seating throughout the park...and I can confirm the new seats are much more comfortable than the old plastic ones.

Which stadium do you like more? Austin or Houston?

It's always so much more peaceful getting to relive hikes through the pictures. No camera backpack, no sweating (even when it's below freezing), no burning legs and breath in your lungs. It all sounds so much better until you factor in the feeling you have while being in these kind of places. Here's to more exhausting trips in 2023!

Some people would say we haven't had a winter at all...but I still can't wait for it to warm up and get this city looking green and lush again.

Houston is well known for steamrolling historic buildings and places in lieu of new development, but there are still pockets of town that you can find preserved history like in this photo. It's quite refreshing to see the past and the present coming together so seamlessly.
