One of our favorite places to visit is Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas panhandle. We love staying at right on the rim of the canyon. The aoudads come to our front door looking for treats (corn feed) and I could watch the change of colors at sunrise and sunset everyday. Such a beautiful setting. You can even take a little hike just outside the cabin and admire the canyon up close.

Planned the trip to Ennis well in advance this year, to catch the beautiful state flower at the peak of its season. Everything I read online said it wasn’t a great year for bluebonnets. Well, this field clearly didn’t get the memo! I had never seen so many of these beauties in one place until this day. I didn’t want to leave this spot. 💕
