Grandline Ridge, our little slice of paradise.

The morning light hits the coastal hills of Siruma just right, casting long, dramatic shadows across the rolling terrain. We make our way up toward the Grandline Ridge, the ocean breeze carrying the crisp, salty air off the shoreline below. Standing at the crest, the views are breathtaking, but the real star of the trail is the unique rock formation cutting straight through the landscape like a weathered, ancient spine.

Walking along the ridge feels almost otherworldly. Jagged stone structures rise naturally out of the grassy earth, shaped by years of unrelenting coastal wind and weather. The texture of the rocks ranges from sharp, volcanic edges to smooth, wind-blown sweeps, creating an incredible foreground against the vast blue canvas of the sea and sky. It’s the kind of rugged terrain that demands to be explored—and documented.

To capture every angle of the trek without missing a step, I had the Insta360 ONE RS mounted and ready.

Capturing the Ridge in 360°

Hands-Free Exploration: Navigating uneven rock paths requires focus. Using the Invisible Selfie Stick with the 360 Lens module allowed me to record full third-person follow shots that look effortlessly like drone footage, all while keeping my footwork solid on the rocks.

Reframing on the Fly: The best part of shooting 360 in a dynamic environment like Grandline Ridge is never having to worry about missing a shot. I could just walk, climb, and soak in the views, knowing I could reframe the camera toward the dramatic drop-offs, the textured rock faces, or my own reaction after the fact.

FlowState Stabilization: The rocky terrain meant plenty of active walking and stepping up steep ledges, but the built-in horizon lock and stabilization kept the playback buttery smooth, no matter how uneven the footing got.

Modular Versatility: Swapping over to the 4K Boost Lens when sitting down by the rock formations let me grab crisp, detailed close-ups of the unique stone textures and raw landscape detail.

As the sun began to dip, casting a warm golden glow over the ridge, the contrast of the dark stone against the ocean horizon made for an unforgettable view. Siruma has plenty of hidden gems, but taking a walk through the formations of Grandline Ridge with a camera capable of capturing every single angle made the trek absolute magic.
