"Jonathan and I have known each other since sixth grade (27 years). He sat behind me in freshman English and had a crush on me, but never pursued me because he thought I was too cool (🤪). We stayed connected through social media as adults, went to a spurs game together 10 years ago, both got married and had children, and then both got divorced. Jon never posts on social media, so I had no idea he was divorced for several years until his best friend (a dear friend of mine) messaged me that Jonathan was single and he thought we’d be great together. He gave me Jon’s number and told me I should reach out to him. After many drafts in the notes section of my phone, I finally texted Jon a super awkward message. That super awkward message turned into nonstop messaging and talking on the phone to reconnect. We finally met on a Sunday evening for drinks and have basically seen each other every day since. Our background knowledge of each other, chemistry, and connection made falling in love with Jonathan the easiest thing I’ve ever done. He’s the calmest passionate person I’ve ever known, the sweetest dad, and the absolute best travel partner. He’s the love of my life, my soulmate."
