Week 7.. This was a very cold a gloomy week. But fortunately I was able to make the best of it. One of the things I’ve always been drawn to has been “color splash photography” where you remove all but one color from your photo.

Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to get any good photos of the sky, or landscapes, and all the animals were hiding somewhere warm, I decided to get some photos of any part of nature with bright colors. Right next to my car happened to be a bush with some bright red berries, so I decided to snap a few photos that I could later edit for this project.

It was very cold and windy and I felt pretty strange walking around, snapping photos on the side of the road. But I knew that it was necessary for the sake of getting the pictures i needed for the week. And when it was all over, I was happy with the end result. And I warmed myself up by eating the hottest wings I could find in town.. you can watch that in video week 7. I also managed to capture some of the long exposure pictures I have been interested in as well. But I’ll post more about that at a later time. All in all week 7 was a great week, cold, gloomy, but still productive and I had a lot of fun!

Week 6.. Picking up where I left off. This started out super fun. I had a great time running around the town I grew up in. I stopped by some of my old houses, some of my friends houses, I spent the day with my son. We went bowling, shot some pool, got some food. I hit up my favorite little bar. It was a very fun filled day, with a lot going on. So much in fact that I didn’t take
Many pictures because I was too busy having fun and taking video.

But unfortunately before I could get out and about to take more pics for the week, I fell sick after receiving a Covid vaccine. That put me down and out for well over a week. I just stayed tired and couldn’t get the photos I needed to edit for the week. But none the less, what I did capture before getting sick was great! And I had an awesome time recording the footage I got.

I have been having a great time lately with photography and all that’s going on around my channel. Despite getting sick and not posting much, I will definitely get caught up on those weeks that I’m behind on.

I just want to thank everyone who’s been supportive of this new endeavor of mine. The last video I posted had more views so far than anyother, with over 600 views in just one day. I’ll be releasing a new video tonight or tomorrow. Once I get a few more things finished.

I have a few things on the table for my channel which I think people are going to find a lot more entertaining, with something different going on each week. I don’t want to spoil the surprise. But I’ll actually be doing things rather than just walking around with a camera.. though that still may happen from time to time.. anyway, that’s all I’ve got for now. Thanks for being here.. I’m really enjoying this new hobby of mine, and I hope you’ll stick around for the journey!

Squirrels aren’t considered man’s best friend, but they are entertaining to watch. Here’s some facts about this fuzzy rodent creature..

They can run 20mph. That’s about 20mph faster than I can run at the moment.

They fluff their tails out when jumping to help them keep their balance.

They have padded feet, to help cushion their landing.

They can find food buried beneath a foot of snow.

They pretend to hide nuts in the ground to throw off potential thieves.

They can recognize ripe acorns by their smell.

They communicate with each other through a series of barks, but mostly by twitching their tail.

They are the number one way oak trees grow because they lose 30% of the acorns they bury.

The symbolism of pine cones dates back hundreds of years. Being that the pine tree is one of the oldest living life forms on the planet.
To the Aztecs, the pine cone was a symbol of spirituality, immortality and fertility. Celtic women even placed pine cones beneath their pillows to speed up conception. The Egyptian God Osiris had a pine cone on top of his staff.

Today pine cones are still symbolic in many different ways. In Hinduism and Christianity represent illumination and enlightenment. And throughout history, due to their appearance, Pine cones have represented the pineal gland (AKA seat of the soul). The pine cone spirals in a Fibonacci sequence, such as that of a rose and sunflower.

Additionally, pine cones are also a symbol of protection due to the fact that they protect the seed.
