#1 Hope & Healing Session - $0-20

The Hope & Healing Session is a cornerstone of Healing Lens Photography's mission, specifically designed for individuals and families facing significant financial hardship as they navigate medical or trauma-related healing journeys. Offered either at no cost or a substantially reduced rate, these sessions are made possible through the generous support of our "Pay It Forward" contributions and Patreon community.

Recognizing that financial constraints should never be a barrier to capturing precious memories, the length of these sessions are 30 minutes and the number of included professionally edited digital images 5-10 images with a model release for printing.

Eligibility for a "Hope & Healing" Session is determined through a brief and compassionate inquiry process, ensuring that we can best serve those with the greatest need. Our unwavering commitment is to provide the same level of professional, empathetic, and heartfelt service that defines all of our sessions, ensuring that these families also have the invaluable opportunity to preserve their unique stories of strength and hope.

#2 Basic Session - $60

Our Basic Session, offers a focused 30-minute photography experience specifically tailored for individuals or small families navigating medical and trauma-related healing journeys.

We understand the importance of capturing moments of strength and connection during these times, and this session is designed to provide a few key portraits that can be cherished. You will be guided with professional posing and a gentle approach to ensure comfort throughout the session.

Following our time together, we will carefully select and professionally edit 5-10 high-resolution digital images, delivered to you through a private online gallery for easy access and sharing. This session provides a meaningful opportunity to preserve these significant moments with care and compassion.

#3 Extended Session - $120

Our Extended Session offers a more in-depth photography experience, providing approximately 30-45 minutes of dedicated shooting time for individuals, couples, or families navigating medical and trauma recovery.

This longer session allows for greater flexibility in exploring various poses, backgrounds, and combinations of people, enabling us to capture a more comprehensive collection of cherished moments. You will receive gentle and professional guidance to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

As part of this tier, you will receive a larger selection of 10-15 professionally edited high-resolution digital images available for download via a private online gallery. You will also have the option to purchase additional digital images or prints should you wish to further commemorate your journey. This session provides a wonderful opportunity to create a more extensive visual story of strength, connection, and hope.

#4 Making a Difference Session - $150

The "Making a Difference" session, priced at $150, offers an extended and deeply personalized photography experience lasting approximately 45-60 minutes.

Designed for individuals, couples, or families navigating medical and trauma-related healing journeys, this session provides more dedicated attention to capture your unique moments and the special connections you share. You will receive gentle guidance throughout to ensure a comfortable and authentic experience.

This premium collection includes 20-30 beautifully edited high-resolution digital images, delivered through a private online gallery where you'll also find convenient options for ordering professional-quality prints to treasure for years to come.

Most importantly, with each "Making a Difference" session you purchase, $50 of the fee is directly allocated to sponsoring a free or heavily discounted photography session for individuals and families facing terminal illness or extreme financial hardship, directly supporting our vital "no turn away" commitment.

#5 Pay It Forward - Support the Journey - $60, $120, $150 plus donation

By choosing to "Pay It Forward," you can amplify the impact of Healing Lens Photography. This optional feature allows clients who purchase any of our tiered sessions – Basic, Extended, or "Making a Difference" – to make an additional donation of any amount they wish, beyond the price of their selected session.

Every single penny of these additional contributions goes directly towards funding free or reduced-cost photography sessions for individuals and families facing significant financial hardship.

To participate in this meaningful initiative, simply select your desired session and then indicate the amount you would like to donate during the booking process. Your generosity will directly bring the gift of lasting memories to someone in need.

#6 Ongoing Support via Patreon - $1 or more

Hello friends—old and new,
Some of you may know me from my years behind the lens as a professional photographer. I’m a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, and for a while now, I’ve worked under the name Nuckolls Studios Photography, capturing milestones, portraits, and countless meaningful moments in between.

But life has a way of reshaping our path in ways we never expect.

Last October, just two days after photographing a young family for a holiday promo shoot, my wife Angela suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. It was sudden. Traumatic. Devastating. Everything stopped. My focus shifted completely to Angela’s survival, her recovery, and our future. I couldn’t even bring myself to look at my camera. The thing that once gave me purpose now filled me with fear, guilt, and grief.

Since Angela’s rupture, I’ve been quietly battling depression, something I’ve carried for years, but it’s only grown heavier in the wake of what happened. I’ve spent countless nights wide awake, spiraling through worry and fear. In the middle of this emotional storm, I enrolled in a Computer Science degree program, not to "find myself," but try to grow, to learn, and to build a new skill set that could support my family long-term. Even so, something inside me still felt broken.

Picking up my camera again wasn’t just difficult, it was terrifying. A part of me had irrationally linked it to the trauma, like it was somehow tied to what happened to Angela. But I had made a commitment to a wonderful senior, Serenity, and her spring follow-up session was approaching. After a lot of deep thought and self-reflection, I chose to move forward with it. When I finally lifted the camera to my eye and clicked that first shutter, it felt strange... but also like I was reconnecting with an old part of myself I thought I’d lost.

A few weeks later, while talking with Angela about the shoot with Serenity and what might be next, in a split moment, my mind sparked something powerful, a vision I couldn’t ignore.

What if photography could be more than just creative expression? What if it could be a lifeline? A way to honor people who are going through the hardest times of their lives. What if my camera could help others heal… the way it’s helping me?

And so, Healing Lens Photography was born.

This isn’t a rebrand, I feel it’s a calling!

We going to be offering high-quality, compassionate photography for individuals and families facing medical challenges, trauma, or end-of-life circumstances. Many of our sessions are low-cost or even no-cost, because no one should be denied meaningful memories due to financial hardship. Whether it’s a portrait of strength, a celebration of survival, or a quiet moment shared in the midst of pain, we want to give people something beautiful to hold onto.

Our ability to do this is made possible through the generous support of caring individuals and companies who want to give back to their communities and share the gift of love—captured forever and shared with family for generations to come.

Seeking Participants for a Special Photography Project: Sharing Stories of Hope & Healing

Are you or someone in your family in the Hot Springs area a survivor, currently in recovery, or living with the effects of a medical condition or trauma?

Healing Lens Photography is a new venture dedicated to capturing the strength and resilience of individuals and families navigating these unique paths. Inspired by personal experience, our mission is to offer compassionate and professional photography services that celebrate hope and healing.

To build a portfolio that truly reflects the heart of our mission and to help encourage public engagement around these important experiences, we are offering a limited number of free 30-minute professional photography sessions to individuals, families, and current caregivers in the Hot Springs area.

These sessions can take place at your home or, weather permitting, at a favorite outdoor location. Participants will receive professionally edited digital images with a photo release for printing. Sessions are open to the patient(s), direct family members, and current caregivers.

Please Note: By participating, you are agreeing that the images may be used in Healing Lens Photography's advertising materials and on our page to help showcase the power of these stories and the vision of our work. We are committed to sharing these images respectfully and with the aim of inspiring and uplifting others.

In October 2024, our lives took an unexpected turn when she suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. After two weeks in the ICU and a week on the neurology floor, she defied all odds with a recovery that amazed her doctors. She is, without a doubt, the strongest person I know.

For over 15 years, she's been my photography partner, my muse, and my best friend. When her health took priority, we put everything on hold. Now, inspired by her resilience, we're embarking on a new journey with Healing Lens Photography.

What we're doing isn't solely about taking photos, we're about capturing hope, faith, healing, and the unbreakable bond of togetherness. We want to give back to the community we've become a part of, to those whose lives have been turned upside down, just as ours was.

Whether it's celebrating a second chance at life or cherishing the precious moments we have with loved ones, we're here to help you create lasting memories and tell your story. Because every journey of healing deserves to be remembered.
