Summer things….

Who else is spending most of their outside moments questioning why God created hover flies/corn flies/sweat bees?!

When 1 of your bestest friends says she knows you don’t want to but will you because you’re the one - the one she wants to take her family photos.
Not necessarily posed portraits…but the ones with real life, real love, just being family together, hanging out, laughing, loving, & living at their home…their gathering place.
One of those really special families that we made an exception for…and of course I couldn’t resist also capturing some of their bovine ladies too. 😉
Thank you friend for having more confidence in us than we do for this task & trusting us with your memories! ❤️

🥰❤️🌻🐝
Thank you again to the L&M Glick Seed family for inviting us to come enjoy your sunflower field last summer!

Bees are small but mighty 🐝They pollinate about one‑third of the food we eat, visiting dozens of flowers in a single trip and communicating through their charming waggle dance to show other bees exactly where to find the best blooms.

Bees produce eight remarkable and valuable products - can you name them?

We’ll be there along with our Midwest FarmGirl Artisan,
Reilly Lykins, supporting brave & strong rural women!

The foundation supports:

💝Love bombs for moms fighting cancer while raising kids & doing All. The. Things.

💝Small business grants for rural women owned businesses to help get their name out there into the world.

💝Scholarships for young hustlers who maybe don’t have the top grades but they’ve got the passion, initiative & work ethic to make things happen.

No weak or meek minded ladies in these groups! 💪🏻💃🏻

Get your tickets & enjoy good food, drinks, music, friends & a night at the farm!

Places too wet.
Places too dry.
A field here needs rain.
A field there doesn’t need it all.

This season seems like an agriculture themed Dr. Suess book.

Another day of replanting “fun”. I’m going to need to remember these new row patterns come harvest time in the combine!

I really can’t wrap my mind around the fact we turned the calendars over to June today! Full on adulting is suddenly realizing what day it is (because you already forgot what day yesterday was) & continually saying, “Where has the time gone?!”

I took this photo last summer & it was chosen for this month’s sunflower calendar page!
