I'm so glad that I finally got the chance to meet this special family :) They were a referral from some very dear friends, and we've had this meeting pending for a year...it was definitely worth the wait, because these kiddos were fabulous! I love photographing children of all ages, and I enjoy seeing sibling interactions. This is a great age, because everyone was old enough to follow instructions, yet innocent enough to still "play like kids". They seemed to be having a great time exploring the tidepools and running around on the beach. Mom, they all did such an amazing job! I'm so very grateful that you were able to finding time in your schedule (I can't imagine having to coordinate not only three kids' schedule, but your own busy schedule as well). It was a perfect afternoon for a shoot, and I think we caught some wonderful smiles. Enjoy these moments, because they fly by all too quickly! Thank you! Mila is the definition of joy. She smiles so easily, which is not an easy task when someone with a huge black camera is directing you. Maybe that's it, Mila doesn't need a lot of directing...she's naturally carefree. I really believe that a lot of it has to do with her mom and dad. They are equally easy to work with, and they make our shoots more about capturing moments, versus a ton of posing. As always, I was happy to see DJ, Mila's fur-bro. He is another easy one to work with. Despite the multitude of distractions around us, he always recenters (even without snacks...I know some humans that can't do that!) Thanks for being one of my favorite families to work with! Have a wonderful holiday season!

It was a great, cool afternoon for a shoot. The cloud cover was welcomed (it's been so hot and humid up until this point). Loved the research put into deciding on the outfits (mom said that she looks at previous clients' shoots on the photo blog, and bases their outfits on the locations). I liked the central color scheme with varying patterns and styles between family members. As always, it was great see Brendan, April and mom and dad! Thanks for the countless smiles and fun shoot! 🥰

We've known Ethan since he was about 7 years old (maybe even longer). He was in my son's tennis clinic, and he was such a cutie. Now they are both in high school...and they both still play tennis! Ethan, thank you very much for letting me take your photos. I thought you did such a great job. I loved the way the wind blew your hair in such a casual way. It was a gorgeous afternoon with an amazing family. It was so nice seeing all of you in a "different" setting ;)

It's been 14 years since I first met Kupono, and 13 years since I met Hiwalani. Time has certainly flown by since the days of your newborn shoots. Things have certainly changed over time (including my photo shoot style), but I'm so happy that our friendship has continued to this day. Here they are again! Eli and Evan (and family). Eli was sporting an "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" grin...what great timing! Evan had that smile that was incredibly contagious. It's been awhile, but I'm finally updating my business socials. I've been doing shoots, but have been preoccupied with life. Here we go with all of the photo shoot updates (literally for the past three years, LOL).

We will start off this series of photo updates with a 2023 Newborn shoot. Meet baby Brody. Such a sweet little angel. Tiny and precious! He's probably a big boy now, but just a few photos here to celebrate the beginning of his journey!
