Well, what a night! 'Alone on a Hill' took 3rd Place in FOTOG, a photography show juried by Stone Peng at the Holland Area Arts Council and attended the reception to discover that 'Emerging' has been sold. The show is full of talent and congratulations to all the award winners and everyone that submitted and were juried in. As I say, it's always a win just to get in :)

'Notes from the Asylum' is ready to go to Art at the Yard. If you haven't seen this one yet, the graffiti says "everything pretty much BLOWS, but the meijer brand macaroni salad is like not bad"

I had a nice, impromptu visit with Barb Carlson in her studio, Armory 2 Art Studio. I'm always intrigued with studio supplies, particularly paint brushes. Snapped this one and then used Snapseed for the edit. I'm working on a tutorial for better cell phone photography. This is an example. Stay tuned!

"At Rest" has sold at Art Cats gallery in Muskegon. The original photo was taken at Hagar's Hideaway during my 46th Muskegon High School renunion (we missed the 45th because of Covid). Always a thrill when someone takes it home...

"Portland, MI" has taken the Photo Journalism Award in the Festival of the Arts Regional Art Exhibition 😊

This old house, which no longer stands, could be seen from I-96. One day, on my way to visit family in Lansing, I got off the highway and tracked it down. I took this shot while standing close to a creepy out building as every creepy movie I'd ever watched rolled through my head and my teenage child was fretting loudly about ignoring the no trespassing sign even though there wasn't a soul in sight!

The results are in for the Michiana Annual Art Competition at Box Factory for the Arts in St. Joseph, MI.

"Emerging" has been awarded 1st Place Best of Category for Black & White Photography! Wow!! Feeling very honored right now as this is a large show with a ton of talent :)
