Breakthrough studio hosted Asaph Ward on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Asaph Ward is recognized with achievements from the Grammy Awards, Stellar Awards, GMA Dove Awards, BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards, and the NAACP Image Awards, and he has multiple projects in the Billboards gospel charts. He is a singer, producer, motivational speaker, and coach.
Mr. Ward and his wife, the beautiful inside and out LaKeisha, introduced the Vocal Strengthening Bootcamp. My perspective of his bootcamp is that a strong voice is also strong of body and mind, Mr. Ward wants to help anyone to be a better version of themselves.
He is also choosing a few cities to work on a new album of Christian Gospel songs. The album is going to be used to fund charities. To be on the album, you have to go to his bootcamp.
In just a couple hours Mr. Ward taught proper vocal warm up technique, how to overcome vocal challenges, and how it all links to the body. He has a very affordable community to access his vocal lessons, piano lessons, and prayer connections.

The Oaks Family Care Center Brunswick held their second annual comedy night fundraiser. The event was hosted by Hope Church, with MC Kimberly Nocente keeping the night going smoothly, Comedian Jonnie W. made sure everyone laughed. Door prizes were given out by Lauren Gunther and Oaks staff member Jimi Rizner gave the closing. Many guests from all over Ohio were in attendance, including Tim Smith Brunswick Council-At-Large who is now a board member of the Oaks.
It was a fantastic night, and I want to just clarify I did not laugh at the turkey passing away. It's Jonnie W.s fault for hitting a G5 during his song. Well done.
If you feel like you missed something special, you did but you can attend next years. There is still an opportunity to donate, your support helps fund the Oaks and makes certain the needs of the community are met when there are unexpected funding gaps or unexpected needs arise in our community.

The Rock Hall was a busy place today, Barons Bus was outside hand delivering guests to the front of the building. There was an excitement in the guests, workers busy to complete the new addition, people trying out instruments in the garage, and a new exhibit to check out.
The wings exhibit displays Paul McCartney's and the Wings artifacts from the 1970s to 1981. It showcases instruments, clothes, and hand written lyrics garnished from Pauls' personal collection.
After touring the new exhibit on the full 6th floor I took in an interview of Sheila E.
Sheila E is dubbed the "Queen of Percussion," has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and will be performing June 26 at the Tri-C JazzFest at Playhouse Square with the E-Train.
Sheila was introduced by Rock Halls Shelby, and interviewed by Kathleen Hanna for the Rock Halls podcast "Music Makes Us." The interview was lightweight and funny while still delving into serious topics surrounding Sheila's philanthropy. Another great day at the Rock Hall, thanks for letting me keep my camera out.
