Hi! I’m Cathy Craft, owner of the Crafted Creative. I’m new to the area, so I thought I’d do a quick introduction here. I offer photography, invitation and signage design, and marketing services. I started working when I was 16, shooting a wedding for a friend’s older brother, and completely full of nerves. It was terrifying and thrilling, and I loved being able to be included in such a special moment in time.

Since then, I’ve never stopped loving it. Water coloring a clients special pup, shooting a maternity session, it’s all special. Life has thrown me a few curve balls, but the love of creating has never gone away.

I strongly believe in mom’s mental health. I’ve been a mom for 5 years, and those early postpartum experiences are the hardest journeys I’ve walked through. Moms fight hard, almost invisible battles and if I can use this platform for anything it would be to say there’s no shame and you are loved. Before you are a mom, spouse, or caretaker, you matter and you are loved.

It’s funny, but I kinda hate social media. Yes it’s needed for my business, but I have often felt inadequate as I hold up a mirror on my life to what is reflected on here. Just know that this is a highlight reel, and real life has struggles where the house is a mess and kids are screaming because you cut the hot dog the wrong way 🫠

All this to say, I’m glad you’re here. Wilmington has been a dream for a long long time and getting sandy on a photo session is all I’ve ever wanted. Welcome to the Crafted Creative!
