Here’s the truth…

I’ve grown to dislike posting on social media more and more. I’m still shooting consistently of course, because my passion for capturing stories and serving you hasn’t changed.

Somewhere in the last year or so, I’ve felt less of a need to chase clients… or validation, even, possibly. I’ve grown tired of hustle culture, and in my own journey of healing, I’ve craved more peace and stillness.

I simply wanted to say hello. I’m still here. I’m still shooting. I’m just not “marketing” the same, and in this season I’m okay with that.

I have SO many beautiful sessions to share with you 🤍 And I will… maybe one tomorrow. 😂

But today, I’m thoroughly enjoying being in my feminine.

Well… I wasn’t expecting to hear my name on TV this morning. 🥹

But what Laura shared is exactly why these sessions matter so much to me.

We weren’t trying to create a perfect family photo. We were documenting this season …the books they read, the rooms they play in, the way little ones fit in Mom’s lap, the backyard where they’ve spent their afternoons.

This is why I’m falling so deeply in love with telling families stories this way.

Someday, the ordinary will be what you miss most.

Not just give you a pretty picture for the yearbook but capture their personality, their style, the things they love, and this version of them before life starts changing.

I hear some version of this all the time…

“I wouldn’t know what to do.”
“I’m so awkward in front of a camera.”
“I don’t know how to pose.”

Good. 😂 You don’t need to.

I’m going to tell you where to stand, what to do with your hands, where to look, when to move and somewhere along the way, I hope you forget about the camera for a minute.

You don’t need to practice. You don’t need to suddenly become confident. And you definitely don’t need to know how to model.

You just have to show up as you are.

Because the photos are only part of it.

This can be about celebrating where you are. Honoring what you’ve walked through. Seeing yourself differently. Documenting a chapter you never want to forget. Or simply creating something that reminds you years from now of who you were in this season of your life.

Whatever brings you here, you’re worth remembering. 🤍

Okay, I need your input because I have approximately 847 photoshoot ideas floating around in my head at all times 😂

If you could plan a photoshoot around literally ANYTHING, what would you actually be excited to do?

And don't think “where would I take pictures?” Think about your actual life.

Dancing in the kitchen with your best friend. A slow morning at home with coffee and your dog. A day on the lake. Hiking somewhere incredible. Running around with your kids. Getting ridiculously dressed up and going somewhere you normally wouldn't. Something built around your business, a hobby, or something you just freaking love doing.

Your life. Your story. But make it a photoshoot. 😂 I want the REAL stories of your life 💙
