For those not on my instagram or personal page, I am temporarily out of office and gallery due dates may be extended by a couple of days.

Not only am I getting over a sinus infection (thankfully should be good to go by tomorrow), but Tuesday evening we got the news that my grandmother was in a devastating car accident, hit by an oil tanker truck.

Thankfully she is looking like she will make it but has a long recovery ahead due to several broken bones. She’s already had 2 surgeries and it sounds as though a couple more are on the books.

I ask for prayers over her and the doctors at this time and that her recovery process will be as painless as possible. We don’t have all the answers or full plans at this time, but we are so thankful that she is alive.

Last week I had the honor of being asked to go to Levine’s Children Hospital to take photos of this sweet family, as they prepared to say their final goodbyes to their youngest son, Declan.

Declan was born Feb 21st with a handful of disabilities. He was born with congenital hydrocephalus, epilepsy and visual and hearing impairment. Due to the hydrocephalus Declan was severely developmentally behind. Declan had over 5 specialty doctors. Declan spent most of his short 9 months in and out of the hospital. He made his heavenly journey home Dec 11th.

This family is grieving this holiday season in a way that no one should ever have to. As they take time to heal, bills are still coming in as well as the now added funeral expenses.

To help get them with funds to be able to take the time off of work to grieve and to get through this transition, I would like to offer pay what you can mini sessions on January 6th & 7th. These sessions will be 15 minutes long and come with 5 images. A donation minimum of $40 will be required.

It's the busiest time of the year, and my social media skills are lacking. That being said, here are some updates!

1. I am fully booked for the rest of 2023 (unless you are a pending session that we have already begun to discuss)

2. My 2024 books are OPEN! This upcoming year I will be doing things slightly differently, and any mini-session dates planned will be announced at the beginning of the year at a presale discount, and then be actively advertised at full price 6 weeks from the session date.

3. I will be posting an updated list of my business policies for 2024 in the coming week. This will be very important for all clients to be aware of, so please keep an eye out.

4. With it being busy season, holiday season, and sick season, I apologize for any delays and ask for continued patience and grace as I am working around the clock. I take pride in the quality of my work and know that should I rush, I would be sacrificing that quality that you hired me to achieve. As a reminder, I am a stay-at-home mother of three young children, while also running this business full-time on my own. Photography is my passion, and I love the connections and it's such an honor to capture your special moments. However, just like anyone else with a career, I have responsibilities outside of work that I must be able to balance.

All of this to say, I appreciate all of you, and a special thanks to those who have sent messages of understanding and support during this hectic time of year. I will be following up this post with an updated delivery queue post so that I can keep everyone up to date all at once.
