Before and after: Caren
My job isn't just lighting and knowing the best camera to use, it's bringing out the best in people. Caren was nervous. She hadn't re-done her headshots in over 8 years.
We chatted. I noticed her cool glasses. We chatted some more. I tweaked the light for her skin tone and directed her movements a bit, because she told me she needed help with that.
She was smaller in stature so I angled the camera a bit lower to make her seem a bit more.. regal.
I make 100 little decisions when I photograph someone new, with the goal of making it fun and capturing what's special about each person. I love this part of my job.
