Watch the dive if you want. The deck is the better footage.

Brighton and Penfield girls swimming and diving, October 15. She leaves the board, gets all the way around and goes in vertical at 13 feet 6 inches. Then the frame widens to the deck, and every face is doing the same thing.

No diver gets to see that part. You're under the water while it happens.

Field hockey happens at ankle height.

Brighton Senior Night against Webster Schroeder, October 14. Number 10 in navy driving through with a Warriors stick coming across her. The Warriors number 1 with it on her own. Then the huddle, every stick pointed in.

A ball that small, that low, that fast, under lights. It's about as hard as this gets.

Brighton boys soccer Senior Night, October 1. 12 seniors lined up in front of the backdrop, then went out and won it 7 to nothing. The keeper went full stretch along the goal line and came up again with the goalmouth packed. 17 took one off his forehead in between.

Nobody's printing the clean sheet. It was half the scoreline.

I still don't know if he caught it.

Arcadia and Eastridge football, October 2. Eastridge 1 at full stretch, the ball sitting right on his fingertips. I've gone back to this frame more than once and I'm still not sure.

The hit is the boring part.

Aquinas volleyball against EMHCS, September 29. All 3 of these are the half second before contact. Feet off the floor, hitting arm loaded, eyes up.

That's the frame I go looking for. The ball coming off the hand is only the proof it worked.

Gates and Chili football, September 25. The Saints number 4, under the lights, grinning through the bars. Gates 12 came down with 2 catches while the sun was still up.

Everybody shoots the collision. The frame that ends up on a fridge is a face.

Aquinas and East Syracuse Minoa girls soccer, September 24. The Aquinas captain takes hers with a full handspring. Hands on the ball, feet straight up, the assistant referee a few steps away.

Cheer didn't get the leftover backdrop.

Warsaw Tigers Cheer, 2026. P*e Wee, Flag, Junior and Senior. Same stadium lights, same tiger-stripe title, same poster the football teams got.

Too many picture days treat cheer like an afterthought squeezed in at the end. These squads are part of the program, so they get the same photo as the program.
