Janet Cruz Photography

Janet Cruz Photography I am known for capturing beauty in everyday locations, my work can be seen through out the Rochester area and up and down the East Coast.

When not creating art I spend my time capturing Family and Senior Portraits as well as High School Sporting events. Working with digital photography, artist and storyteller, I have been able to contribute my take on themes regarding “The beauty in the world around you”, through my on-going work. Most known for capturing beautiful everyday locations, my work occupies a number of spaces including St

John’s Home, various Health Care Facilities in the Rochester area, DePaul’s Apartments buildings, as well as various offices and private homes throughout the East Coast. When not creating art, I spend my time preserving memories through Family and Senior Portraits as well as capturing the emotions and action at High School Sporting events. I've had photographs published in Good Housekeeping, Senior Inspire and Senior Year Magazines. I have work available for purchase on her website, as well as through Minted, Pottery Barn Teen and Pottery Barn Kids. Contact me if you would like to see my full portfolio

One last breath of winter before heading south. ❄️
I couldn’t leave without stopping by one of my favorite rusted barns—standing quietly against the cold, weathered and worn, yet full of character. The snow, the light, and that endless sky… it all felt like winter’s way of saying goodbye.
There’s something about these rural scenes that always pulls me in—the history, the resilience, the beauty in what’s been left behind.
I’ll trade snow for sunshine soon, but I’m glad I took a moment to hold onto this.

After mats and whistles and nonstop motion, the gym brought a different kind of intensity — quiet focus, deep breaths, chalked hands, and moments of pure flight. Strength wrapped in grace. Power balanced with poise.
A perfect way to close the weekend: athletes trusting their training, bodies moving with intention, and fleeting moments that deserve to be frozen in time.
