A little bit of a long one, but some Northerle history fun facts for ya: when I purchased my first camera in 2020, it was with the intent to capture photos and memories from various hunting and fishing trips as well as content for brands I was working with at the time. My business was called “Optimum Outdoors Co.” and I was deep in the midst of creating content, designing logos, and developing websites for outdoor brands who were ready to grow online but didn’t know where to start. One thing led to another and after a few friends had asked if I’d take some family photos for them, the lifestyle side of photography really took off for me (and for that, I am so incredibly grateful!)
Over the last few very busy years (insert moving to WI, buying a house, getting a dog, our wedding, the list goes on) I’ve relished in slowing down a little more with my hobbies and enjoying the moment when I’m out in a duck blind or out on the lake, so the camera doesn’t always see every single fish or bird like I know it should. Getting to pull out my camera out this last weekend and run around to capture moments with my friends, even if the fishing was slow, was such a treat. Between the weddings and family sessions on the books in 2026, I have the set a personal goal to let the camera see the woods and water just a little bit more and bring myself back to my roots.
The love for the outdoors is what makes Northerle so special and brought it to where it is today. So while families, weddings, engagements, etc. will still fill the feed, I hope you’ll enjoy as I share a few of these outdoor moments and experiences that built me and help me to keep growing to this day.
