a week late but here we go! Rengoku brothers~ absolutely sweet story of brotherhood, but I won’t spoil it for those of you who don’t read the manga / aren’t caught up.
as always, thank you to the cast for allowing me to shoot! I was very touched when I was told that they had asked me to shoot them because I love the characters, and it’s true - I will almost never turn down a chance to shoot characters that I love. The Rengoku brothers’ story speaks to me a lot because I grew up an only child and always romanticized the idea of having siblings. Meanwhile all my friends who had siblings did nothing but complain about them buuut of course, as the saying goes, you always want what you don’t have, right?
this shoot had its ups and downs unfortunately. For one, the venue was a lot more crowded than expected :< as usual, we had a lot of not-so-sneaky people trying to take photos while we were shooting, one person was straight up following us with her phone taking a video?? Anyone who’s shot with me knows I’m not afraid to call people out for that stuff, but it does get tiring after a while. Another would be that this is the lowest contrast I’ve edited in a long time @ however the dynamic impact of high contrast that I usually edit just doesn’t suit the nature of their relationship soooo here we are ;;
as Rengoku Kyoujurou
