The iconic Portland Head Light. The weather was gorgeous. The cool ocean breeze offset the heat of the Sun.

It was around sunset time on a clear day in south Portland, ME when we visited Portland Breakwater Light, aka Bug Light Park Lighthouse.

Diminutive and elegant, are the two words came to my mind unpon first sight. Standing at a height of only 26 feet, the bug light has six decorative Corinthian columns signifying its elegance. This lighthouse situated itself at the end of the rocky breakwater and on the tip of an open lighthouse park. We enjoyed the viewing of this lighthouse and its surrounding so much that evening.

As mentioned in visitPortland.com, “the architect was Thomas U. Walter, most noted as the designer of the U.S. Capitol east and west wings and its current dome.”

Hello everyone! Welcome to Bo Photography. My name is Yubo Zhang. My husband Jim and I have been providing photo services to local communities since 2019. We have done pictures for individuals/families, events, sports and commercial products. My interest in photography started in a photography class in high school when film was still prevalent in this field. The world is never lack of beauty but the eyes to find beauty.
