Images matter—especially the ordinary moments.
On a trip to an alligator farm in Mississippi I got completely pulled in by what I saw. The trees along the edge weren’t just reflecting… the ripples turned them into beautiful, swirling patterns, like the water was repainting the scene in real time. I snapped a few frames in the moment, not thinking much beyond: “this is too good to miss.”
This one made my year: one of those images has been selected for Trees as Life,” the upcoming CellNama x Museo Camera exhibition in Gurugram this January.
What feels especially meaningful is how it was made—on a phone. With mobile photography becoming the default camera for storytelling (even newsrooms are shifting toward iPhone-first visuals), communities like CellNama prove that “on the move” can still be intentional, creative, and exhibition-worthy.
Huge congratulations to all the photographers featured, and a special thank you to Shalini Venugopal for heading the project and building such a thriving community around mobile photography.
If you’re in Gurugram, I’d love for you to see it in person.
