Gigi Hadid just turned a store opening into a full fall fashion masterclass, and she did it without even trying to look like she tried.
Gigi Hadid turned a New York store opening into a fall fashion moment.
It happened on October 29, in New York City.
She was there for a new Madison Avenue shop for Guest in Residence, her knitwear brand. It is the fourth US shop for the label.
And yes, she wore her own label, because why would she not?
Her skirt was plaid, in brown and pink, and it wrapped around. It came from her own knitwear brand.
On top, a halter top that fitted close. Over it all, a big brown leather jacket.
Her boots did the Western work. Leather, two colours, buckles, and pointed toes with a metallic finish.
Autumn tones, a vintage feel, and a Western edge all showed up at once, and somehow it still looked effortless.
But the accessories are where it gets fun.
Then there is the bag. Vintage Moschino, shaped like a plant pot, with bright pink blooms spilling out. A plant pot. As a bag.
And the cake? Plaid, just like her skirt. She carried it herself.
Matching your cake to your outfit is a level of commitment most of us will never reach.
That playful, statement-making energy is exactly what Guest in Residence is known for.
The label started in 2022. Since then, it has become known for cashmere in bright colours and knitwear you can actually wear every day, just elevated.
That mix, playful statement pieces with easy, wearable fashion, is pure Gigi.
So, would you wear the plant-pot bag, or is that where you draw the line?
