This is exactly why I usually stick to portrait sessions instead of events. There are just too many moments, too many reactions, and too many photos I can’t bear to leave behind.

Some seniors walk into a session completely confident. Some walk in quiet, nervous, and unsure what to do with their hands. 😅
And honestly? Those are usually my favorite sessions.

She started out shy, but somewhere between the track, the music, and the golden light, she settled into herself and absolutely glowed. Proud of this one and so excited for everything ahead of her. 🎓✨

Yesterday was a chilly day in Eastern NC, but we got out there anyway and shot a lovely little family! The little guy was downright adorable and the parents were so loving and sweet! I love being able to help save a moment in time for great people! 🥰

I’m so excited!!! Ordered a new little Holga pancake lens and it should be here today! I won’t really be using it for shoots, but I’m excited to play around with it! I’ll post some images from it over the weekend.

For those unfamiliar: A Holga pancake lens is a simple, low-cost lens designed for digital cameras, particularly DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, to emulate the unique, lo-fi aesthetic of Holga film cameras. These lenses are named “pancake” because of their flat, compact design, making them resemble a thin “pancake” when mounted on a camera.

Over the weekend, I had the please of shooting this family of 6 with rambunctious little ones and it was fun! I ended up having a technical issue that wasn’t known until afterward, so we’re going to be doing a do-over but I was able to catch some adorable pics of their crew. Until next time!

Yesterday was cold, but this shoot was absolutely awesome. These two lovebirds displayed sooo much love and joy and it was truly contagious.
