Walk softly and carry a big stick.
Real strength is not proven by how many battles you can win. It is proven by how many unnecessary battles you have the discipline to avoid.
When you know what you are capable of, you stop feeling the need to prove yourself to everyone. Every insult does not require an answer. Every challenge does not deserve your energy. Every person trying to provoke you does not deserve access to your anger.
Anyone can react.
It takes wisdom to remain calm when your ego is begging you to fight back.
Walking away does not always mean you are afraid. Sometimes it means you understand the price of conflict better than the person trying to start it.
A strong person knows how to defend himself when necessary.
A wise person knows when it is necessary.
That difference can save your peace, your relationships, your future, and sometimes much more.
Master your strength before your strength masters you.
Because the greatest victory is not defeating another person.
It is having enough control over yourself to know when there is nothing worth fighting for.
