Taking an early peek into the weekend, The Storm Prediction Center already has outlooks for our area for both days this weekend.

While it obviously several days away, the purpose of this post is for planning purposes, increase awareness and not create hype. Likewise, a shift in the path of this next storm could change, causing the outlook area to change. Regardless, from a regional perspective, storms seem likely. So far this season, severe weather has been nearly nonexistent for most of Nebraska.

More outlooks on the way in the coming days.

Varying rainfall amounts coming in from around the area. So far, I’ve seen reports of 1.45” at the NWS office in Hastings (north side of town) and around an inch on the south side. Also, several 2”+ reports in the Aurora area.
