I had the special honor of photographing a 50th Wedding Anniversary party today. Such an amazing family, full of love, crazy antics and genuine kindness! I had so much fun watching them best each other playing Bocce Ball, Co****le, Horseshoes as they ate, drank and laughed their way through the afternoon.
As a special request, the Bride asked me ahead of time to recreate their wedding party photo as they were all going to be present at the party. It took awhile to get everyone together in the same spot, but I waited patiently, looking through their wedding album from 1976! It was worth waiting for...what a hoot this group was/is! Brothers & Sisters from both sides of the family, and life long close friends hugging, kissing and enjoying each other's company.
This is the stuff real life is made up of; the kinds of things that make you truly a rich person, a Mensch, a Woman of Valor. It was so special to be a part of this wonderful familly's celebration.
..and just a weird coincidence, it waasn't until today perusing the wedding album that I noticed my marriage to my ex-husband was on the exact same day! Little heart tug, there!
