Really thankful for Forest Service Region 10. This photo was taken at my house and if it seems like the plane is really close, that is because there was a quick moving fire that started less than two miles away. These guys jumped on it quickly and got it knocked down before it could cause damages to Bend. Thank you U.S. Forest Service

I hiked out to Trillium Lake for the Aurora Borealis last night. To be fair, I was hoping the road would be snow free and I could just drive to the lake but no such luck. Obviously it was well worth the hike through the snow and standing around in wet feet.
