I can confidently say I have been a witness to two incredible miracles in my life—well, probably more, to be honest, but two that will stand out for my entire life. Here is one of them. ✨
John and Teresa have been a part of my family’s life for nearly three years. We have watched them walk through season after season of trying to grow their family. Most of that journey has been filled with heartbreak and days of little hope that this would become something they got to experience.
I remember one day I was with Teresa when she got a phone call saying they were being considered for the adoption of a little baby. I remember the chills and the tears we both cried that day. Tears of joy and excitement that came with the relief of, “Oh my gosh, this is happening!” Only to experience, a few short months later, the heartbreak of that possibility falling through.
The road they were walking was leading more toward accepting that maybe this wasn’t going to be part of their journey and searching for peace and clarity in what felt final.
Then, we were presented with yet another opportunity to adopt a little boy. The phone call I received that day was one I will remember forever. The silence on the other end, the tears, and the emotions that take your breath away. The equal parts of fear that come with all of that. The miracle in the making.
We are now in the final days, and Mathias Baum will be entering this world in just a few short weeks. Watching my best friends become parents has been, and will be, one of the greatest miracles I am so thankful I get to witness.
God is so good. He is healing. He is always on time. He is worthy, and He is a miracle worker. He hears our prayers.
What a God we serve. ❤️
Baby Mathias, your Auntie Rachael loves you so much already. And I literally can’t wait to continue to capture your journey into this big, beautiful world. ♥️
The best one yet- the one where my bestie gets a baby! 📸
