There is something really special about getting to photograph the same families as they grow. A few years back, I photographed their first son when he was just a newborn, and now they’ve welcomed another little boy. Getting to witness another chapter for them is something I never take for granted.

Sophia and Nathaniel began their day quietly, tucked into the woods and the water, the kind of calm that feels like the world holding its breath.

Then the music started and everything unfolded. Family gathered close. Friends linked arms. Voices lifted. Hands clapped. The kind of celebration that isn’t just witnessed but felt.

They stood beneath the chuppah surrounded by the people who have shaped them. The glass broke. Everyone cheered. And from there it was joy in motion. Circles of dancing. Laughter that carried past sunset. A room full of love that didn’t need to be explained.

A wedding rooted in tradition and elevated by the people who came to hold it with them. The very best kind.

This trip was planned as both a family vacation and a wedding. Two families, one island, and a whole lot of joy. Jenna and Nate said their vows in the middle of Aruba’s national park, surrounded by cactus, wind, and the people who love them most.

It was simple, full of laughter, and the kind of day that reminded us why we hold certain people close.

Marley and Will first reached out last year, and I could tell right away their wedding would be something special. Their intimate Portland celebration was filled with soft light, genuine laughter, and the kind of connection that speaks for itself.

I have watched this family grow through my lens for years. From the quiet moments of newborn days to running through the yard together, each season has its own magic. Photographing them feels like being invited back into a story that keeps unfolding and I am so grateful to capture the pieces they will hold onto forever.

Sometimes family photos don’t look like big poses or perfect smiles. They look like soft mornings at home. A favorite book. A small hand gripping yours on the sidewalk. Tears, giggles, and everything in between.

This session wasn’t about creating a performance. It was about noticing the way life actually unfolds in their home with a toddler. The joy, the chaos, the pauses. These are the kinds of images you’ll look back on and remember exactly how it felt.

A clear September sky over the White Mountains set the tone for Jenn and Nick’s wedding. It wasn’t rushed or staged. Friends arrived early, their baby was passed from one set of arms to another, music spilled out as people started to dance, and the whole day felt like it belonged to them. These photos simply show the day as it really was.

Kayla and Kris’s wedding at Smith Barn in Peabody was one of those nights that felt like it belonged to September. The air was cool, the apple orchard stretched out behind us, and the barn doors opened to the kind of glow you only get on a fall evening in New England.

I first met them just last year for their newborn session with their second child, and since then I’ve photographed their engagement and now their wedding. Their two little ones were part of every moment, from toddling through family portraits to watching their parents share a first dance. The whole day was a mix of laughter, love, and the simple beauty of a farm wedding.

Being able to document these milestones in such a short time has been such an honor, and this night was the perfect reminder of why I love telling stories through photographs.
