🧬From an Idea to Students Around the World🌎
A few years ago, during quarantine, this book was just an idea.
As a biology teacher, I wanted a way to help students visualize difficult concepts instead of simply memorizing them—and to make studying a little more enjoyable along the way.
What started as a classroom resource has grown into something I never imagined.
Today, Color Me, Bio! is available across 14 Amazon marketplaces worldwide.
It's amazing to think that students from Maryland to Australia, and everywhere in between, can learn from the same pages.

🌱 Most Biology Students Have This Misconception...

Many students believe that plants only perform photosynthesis. While photosynthesis is incredibly important, it's only half of the story!

Plant cells contain both chloroplasts and mitochondria. Chloroplasts capture sunlight to produce glucose, while mitochondria break down that glucose to create ATP—the usable energy cells need to survive.

✅ Photosynthesis makes the sugar.
✅ Cellular respiration releases the energy stored in that sugar.

Without cellular respiration, plants wouldn't be able to power their own cells!
This common misconception appears frequently in biology classrooms and on assessments. Understanding how these two processes work together helps students see how matter and energy move through living systems.
