On the 1 year anniversary of being told I was 'cancer free" what an appropriate place to be ------- as I stood on the rocky shore it reminded me of where I had been to seeing what a golden radiate future I have!!! Knowing the sun always comes up tomorrow!

Plot twist: I didn’t ghost my photography page. Life tackled me first.

If you’ve been wondering where Phyllis Ann Photography disappeared to… here’s the honest version.

I didn’t step away because I lost my love for photography.
I stepped away because I was in a unwelcome fight!

Cancer has a funny way of rearranging your priorities. It doesn’t exactly check your content calendar before barging in. Between treatments, recovery, and learning how to function in a body that was doing its own dramatic plotline, this page had to sit quietly for a while.

And no, that was not by choice!

But here’s the thing about me… I may pause. I may regroup. I may need elastic waist pants and a nap.
But I do not quit!!

Photography has always been more than pictures to me. It’s connection. It’s strength. It’s capturing people in their now before it becomes their “remember when.” Capturing the sunrise or sunset you will never see again!! An image of nature where I wish everyone was there to experience with me!!! And after everything I’ve walked through, all of this feels even more important.

So yes, I’ve been quiet.
But I’ve also been healing. Growing. Rebuilding.

And now?
The camera is coming back out.
The creativity is wide awake.
And the sass survived just fine.

To the few loyal humans who stayed here… you have no idea how much that means.
