Bee-uty by Nature Photography In 2017/2018, I started to realize how much I love photography. Nature, animals, & plants are my favorite! I took my family's Resurrection Day pictures in 2019.

Inspired by God’s creation ✨
Capturing the intentional beauty in nature, animals, & the “little” things. 🌿

Creating with what God has provided; captured through the lens of an iPhone 11 & 12. 📱 I have had thought about becoming a professional photographer, but currently, I am working on getting more variety of experience. I take pictures for all of my & my family's businesses. I have a great grou

p of friends that I work with to better my skills & get them great pics. In early 2020, I became more interested in bees & their help with the ecosystem/environment but they are endangered. My photography name stemmed from their inspiration. My photography style is natural: no filters, no edits, no special lighting. ALL NATURAL! Another odd thing is I use my phone. great pictures don't come from the camera & edits. Great pictures come from the photographer & nature. I'm fine with using props but I don't want the picture to look or feel staged. I want it to feel natural. Like I just walked past you & took a great pic, no setup. We all have natural beauty & we need to share it. All the negative & fakeness needs to disperse & we need to share our natural beauty & be happy for who we are.

After a decade of doing this & finally making it a full focus of my time, I've decided to change my business name. It came with a lot of thought, help from friends, & consideration of logo colors/name flow. Thank you, Angie Kaeser & Hubby Asa Capell, for helping with creating the new name! Thank you, Josie McNorrill, for the new logo! Cards are being ordered soon with the new name & up-to-date information, along with my farm information on the back. I will be updating all socials in coordination with this post & the website will be updated ASAP.

Happy Mother's Day to all moms, but special shout-out to my mom, Karen Steudle & my mother-in-law, Sharon Capell! 💕

Flowers featured are from Genesis Church Women's Conference yesterday. 💐

Vases are a leftover jalapeño jar from Lazarette St. Bakeshop, & Alfredo jar from my pantry lol. I love to repurpose items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Check out my handicraft page: Makin’s of an Artsy Farmer & farm page: Hearts & Home Farm for more ways I repurpose.

My dad has bees.Today I went to his house and he showed me all of the honey he had gotten from the hives. He took the lid off of a 5 gallon bucket full of honey and on top of the honey there were 3 little bees, struggling. They were covered in sticky honey and drowning. I asked him if we could help them and he said he was sure they wouldn't survive. Casualties of honey collection I suppose.
I asked him again if we could at least get them out and kill them quickly, after all he was the one who taught me to put a suffering animal (or bug) out of its misery. He finally conceded and scooped the bees out of the bucket. He put them in an empty Chobani yogurt container and put the plastic container outside.
Because he had disrupted the hive with the earlier honey collection, there were bees flying all over outside.
We put the 3 little bees in the container on a bench and left them to their fate. My dad called me out a little while later to show me what was happening. These three little bees were surrounded by all of their sisters (all of the bees are females) and they were cleaning the sticky nearly dead bees, helping them to get all of the honey off of their bodies. We came back a short time later and there was only one little bee left in the container. She was still being tended to by her sisters.
When it was time for me to leave we checked one last time and all three of the bees had been cleaned off enough to fly away and the container was empty.
Those three little bees lived because they were surrounded by family and friends who would not give up on them, family and friends who refused to let them drown in their own stickiness and resolved to help until the last little bee could be set free.
Bee Sisters. Bee Peers. Bee Teammates.
We could all learn a thing or two from these bees.
Bee kind always.~
