Happy Mother’s Day! Even though I’m no longer shooting sessions or events, it warms my heart to browse through my newsfeed and see a lot of memories I have captured throughout the years ♥️ from family sessions to milestone sessions to weddings...looking back on those moments...there are many reasons to celebrate today!

While I have officially stepped back from shooting, there are still little ones like Miss Olivia that are like family that contact me to capture birthday memories every year. I say like family because I have taken Olivia's pictures since she was a baby....and it is so hard to believe she is 6!!! I hope this sweet girl always keeps that gorgeous smile and bubbly personality...Happy Birthday, Olivia

We got lucky with the weather for Marcus' 9 month session. The forecast was predicting another big snowstorm and, luckily, it didn't pan out and we were able to visit Marcus to get this session in! It is hard to believe that the next session for Mr. Marcus will be to celebrate his 1st birthday! For now, enjoy the sneak peek!

Some years, you have those sessions where you want snow....snow is one thing, but unexpected cold weather...well, that's another when you are trying to capture fall pictures in early November! The Turnage, Snyder and Leenerts families all braved the cold temps this weekend to get some quick family photos. We met up with Marcus and his mommy and daddy on a Sunday morning, and little did we know that this would be a day of BIG surprises! We not only captured some great moments, but later that day, there was a bigger moment-J & S got engaged!! Five...how.did.that.happen?! We have been taking Olivia's pictures since she was a baby and it seems that this year, she has grown so much! For the past eight years around this part of August, we catch up wtih the Blair kids to capture these moments....we have a short window where these two beauties are the same age. Six years ago, we added the third J to the mix and it has been nothing but fun since. I love this session for so many reasons, but I hope that they continue for many years

This fairytale story was everything that it would take to bring me out of "retirement"....last year, I stepped back from shooting weddings to spend more time with family. However, when family asks what it takes to bring you out of retirement, you simply respond with "what date are you thinking?" Jared & Sara...I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to capture these memories for you. You two are a true fairytale story....don't ever let the magic between you fade.
