That’s our Allison 👏🏻

Meet Allison Phillips!

Allison Phillips is a 16-year-old cowgirl from Unionville, Missouri. She is the daughter of Andy and Christa Phillips and will be entering her junior year at Putnam County R-I High School this fall. After graduation, Allison plans to pursue a career as a dental hygienist.

Although she was hesitant around horses as a young girl, everything changed when her best friend, Haley, helped her gain the confidence to ride. Allison started riding at around 8 years old, and ever since then, you can’t keep her out of the saddle.

When she’s not riding, Allison can usually be found working at Hound Around Hotel alongside the people she admires most. But whenever she has free time, she’s back with her horses. Her standout partner, Shaboozey, is a talented 5-year-old mare who competes alongside Allison in horse shows, donkey sorting, barrel racing, breakaway roping, goat tying, pole bending, trail challenges, and cowgirl challenges. Cowgirl challenges are one of Allison’s favorites because they require both horse and rider to excel in multiple events, and she’s always ready to take on the challenge.

Breakaway roping is Allison’s favorite event to compete in at rodeos. She loves the adrenaline, the competition, and the opportunity to meet new people throughout the rodeo community. She recently added a new horse to her program and is currently patterning it for barrel racing, with plans to begin competing next year.

One of Allison’s biggest goals is to win an all-around saddle. With her determination, work ethic, and passion for the sport, she’s excited to keep working toward making that dream a reality.

Allison is an active member of the 66 Wranglers Saddle Club in Queen City, Missouri. She is also involved in 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, DECA, and several other school organizations. In addition, she is proud to represent M2 Photography as a sponsored rider.

Above all, Allison hopes to be a positive role model for the next generation of cowgirls. She enjoys encouraging others, lending a helping hand, and inspiring those around her to keep pushing through challenges, even when the road gets tough.

The hospital has been keeping me busy this week, so they are going out a little slower than my usual speed.

How fun and magical are these creek minis!?
I am opening up 3 different days for short, 15 minute sessions. You will receive a minimum of 10 fully edited photos back. These will take place at my family's farm in Greencastle. There will be a sxs shuttling people to and from the creek. Props provided!
