A wedding day that felt exactly like a wedding day should. 🤍

A little bit editorial, a whole lot documentary, and filled with the kind of moments you couldn’t recreate if you tried — friends screaming when they saw the bride, tears during the first look, champagne in hand, a packed dance floor, and all the beautiful little things happening in between.

Days like this are exactly why I’ll always believe your wedding photos should be about more than creating beautiful images. They should bring you back to the people who were there, the energy in the room, and what it actually felt like to live it.

And getting to photograph all of this at Covington Gardens, practically in my own backyard, made this one even sweeter. I’ll be back here again soon, and I’m already so excited to see this property continue to grow — including the beautiful new reception space they’re currently building for spring 2027. 🤍

Until then, a few favorites from a day that was equal parts beautiful, emotional, and completely full of life.

Editorial doesn’t have to mean perfectly posed.

For this Charleston beach session, we mixed intentional, fashion-inspired portraits with movement, play, and the moments that happened in between.

A little direction when it was needed.
Space to simply be together when it wasn’t.
Running through the water, windblown hair, blurry frames, quiet moments, and a few that feel like they belong in a magazine.

That balance will always be my favorite—creating images that feel elevated and artful without losing the two people actually living inside of them.

Because I don’t want your photos to just look beautiful.

I want them to feel like you. 🤍

Yes, I’ll give you direction.
Yes, I’ll make sure the timeline stays on track.
Yes, I’ll notice all the little moments happening around you.

But once the dance floor opens? There’s a very good chance I’m singing right along with you while taking the photos 😂

I’ve never wanted to be the photographer who just stands on the outside of a wedding day looking in. I want you to feel comfortable with me there!! Like I’m part of the celebration, while still documenting it exactly as it felt.

Professional when it matters. Your personal hype girl always. And… backup vocals at the reception 😂

Some of the best moments on a wedding day are the ones no one planned. 🤍

The quick cheers with your people.
The hugs that happen in passing.
The laughter between portraits.
Your grandparents on the dance floor.
The way your friends look at you when you’re not paying attention.

They weren’t written into the timeline, but they’re part of the story.

And while I’ll always make sure we capture the beautiful portraits and all the moments you planned for, I’m also watching for everything happening in between.

Because your wedding gallery shouldn’t just show you what your day looked like.

It should remind you what it felt like to be there. 🤍
