Jamestown Mall. This building is under severe flooding and within the last week the entire first floor is under 3 inches of water. These were taken over the summer. This building will be set for demolition at a cost to taxpayers a small sum of $10 million dollars since the appraisal to turn this building into a warehouse was rejected by the councilwoman in July and the flooding has caused irreversible damage. Last year 2 fires damaged portions of the building. Do NOT try to enter this building. It is incredibly unsafe and parts are entirely covered in mold. You can find urbex explorer videos on YouTube if you're interested in seeing the inside.

"The House on the Rock is a tourist attraction located between the cities of Dodgeville and Spring Green, Wisconsin. Opened in 1959, it is a complex of architecturally distinct rooms, streets, gardens, and shops designed by Alex Jordan Jr. The "house" itself is atop Deer Shelter Rock, a column of rock approximately 60 by 70 feet (18 by 21 m), by 200 feet (61 m) on the top, which stands in a forest nearby. Additions were made to the original structure and other buildings added over the course of several decades."

When the late Mayford Peery gave the Access Fund the cliff lines of North Table Mountain, he did so in the hope that hikers would forever be able to enjoy the beauty and camaraderie he had found on the plateau.

Peery, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 89, owned a portion of North Table Mountain, and made considerable contributions to Golden, CO through land development and business.

This isn't my normal subject of photography but I find these fascinating. The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are a group of relocated Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings and museums located just west of Colorado Springs, Colorado, on U.S. Highway 24 in Manitou Springs. The stones were taken from a collapsed Ancestral Puebloan site near Cortez in southwest Colorado, shipped by railroad to Manitou Springs, and assembled in their present form as Ancestral Puebloan-style buildings closely resembling those found in the Four Corners.

Elephant Rock State Park, Missouri

This is remnants of an old railroad engine house. This was left behind from when the area was used as a quarry and before it became a state park. The lake pictured is actually man made and was used during operation of the quarry. The carvings of names on the rocks are people who worked at the quarry.

Cairo, IL

"Fort Defiance, a Civil War camp, was built at the confluence in 1862 by Union General Ulysses S. Grant to control strategic access to the river. Cairo has the lowest elevation of any location in Illinois and is the only Illinois city to be surrounded by levees. It is in the area of Southern Illinois known as Little Egypt. The city faces many significant socio-economic challenges for the remaining population, including poverty, crime, issues in education, unemployment and rebuilding its tax base."
