The Kingdom of Christ is an upside-down one.

The first will be last, and the last will be first.

The proud will lose, and the humble will win.

It’s just the way it works.

These are the rules.

This is what the manual says.

SERVE SERVE SERVE. That’s how you find success in business.

And not just as a means-to-an-end.

Not just “serve others in order to succeed” but “serve others PERIOD. Just for the sake of serving them. And the benefits will follow.”

We overcomplicate it, we really do.

But Jesus is literally saying it in black and white.

This is it!

I’ve had to learn this over and over.

HE CARES MORE THAN I DO. I don’t have to “worry if it will succeed.” I just have to be obedient. And then He will bring the harvest, and fulfill the purposes, and show the favor.

Confidence loves PREPARATION. EXPERIENCE. EVIDENCE.

I talk a lot about getting confidence from the Lord, BUT we also have (paradoxically) a responsibility in our free will to put in the work that God has called us to do, alongside His provided confidence.

Confidence isn’t just magically felt, it’s earned.

Someone else’s envy is not your concern. Someone else’s lack of support to you is also not your concern.

Yes, be Humble. Respectful. God-glorifying, rather than self-glorifying.

David was all of those things too.

But David also kept doing the work he was called to do. He didn’t slow the pace.

He didn’t walk away from Goliath because his victory might threaten the king Saul, or his older brothers.

He did what the Lord called him to do, and kept the Lord as the one voice and opinion who he really cared about.

The Bible is RICH with wisdom for business, entrepreneurship, and how to do it all the Lord’s way.

Bringing the Bible into my business content has been a long time coming as a Christian entrepreneur, and I hope this speaks to someone who needs to hear it today.

Imo, while email lists are very effective for many businesses, I think there are more effective marketing options for photographers specifically.

You’re not an info-heavy business or repeat-client-heavy business. If one of those was the different, I’d say something else, but that’s the way it is.

But, I’d love to hear from photographers who use email marketing and how it works for them. 🤝

The headlines
The drama
The conspiracies
The haters
Etc…

All of it.

Steals us from our callings.

But what we really need to do is get to work, in the areas God has called us to.

Be the threat.
Be dangerous.
Push back the darkness.
Get to work, and stay FOCUSSED.
