You can call me Josh, even though my name is Hung. The reason? It simply rolls off the tongue more easily for most folks. Recently, in the festive month of December 2021, I joyously tied the knot with my dear husband, Allen. We share our lives with two adorable canine companions, a corgi answering to Dexter and a mixed-breed cattle dog named Winston. Now, let me tell you about my métier. For eight

years, I've been sculpting stories and capturing slices of life professionally through my lens, aiming for more than just a typical photoshoot. I don’t follow a rigid script or shot lists. Instead, I endeavour to craft images that surpass fleeting social media fads and become invaluable keepsakes for every client. All my shots are captured with posterity in mind. sharing some of my favorite moments from my shoot with Bri & Blake ✨ - I’ve gotten a lot of messages lately asking how I’ve been and why I haven’t posted on here. The short answer, I stopped looking for validation. And I felt like I had to post and post to feel some sort of reassurance with my work. I wanted everyone to love my work and in reality.. I should have been more confident and just believed in myself.. part of the reason why I’m able to thrive in this industry is because not just one client but hundreds of you believe in my vision. I realized it’s been a minute since I’ve shared any of my work. For a while, I used to beat myself up for not posting enough or constantly showing what I’ve been up to.
But truthfully, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting — and it’s helped me stay grounded. I’ve been trying to take on fewer obligations lately, and it’s been one of the best things I’ve done for myself as an artist.
I think there were moments where I caught myself comparing my work to others, when in reality, I should’ve been focused on improving myself. Social media can shift our focus away from what passion really looks like.
I hope this resonates with you in some way and reminds you that you’re not alone in this. 🫶

We all belong here creatively. Social media can sometimes pull us into a place where it feels like our work isn’t being seen or valued, but that isn’t the full picture. If you’re booking clients, if people are connecting with your work, if even a small circle is showing up for what you create — that matters.
Those are the people telling you you’re doing something right.
Those are the signs that your work has impact.

“She rose from the water, he rose to meet her. “ 🌊

Bri came to me with this vision of a water nymph meeting her Viking, and honestly it was wild in the best way. Totally outside my usual creative lane—but I needed to bring it to life for them.
We shot for about two hours and holy f*ck… they delivered.
I’m so grateful they chose me to capture their engagement and their elopement next year. Beyond blessed to call them my besties.
I could ramble forever, but I’ll just leave these dreamy-as-hell slides right here for you all.

Mini session magic with Antony & Tiler at Riverside Park ✨ I love these two sooo much! They trusted my vision completely and showed up ready to slay — and wow, did they deliver. - this shoot was last minute as we got rained out and we needed to find a location asap. I was nervous and I’m so glad Christina and Dominick were so patient and saw my vision. As you all know I’ve been sharing so much more lately and I’ve been feeling so great about my artistry, work, photos, whatever you wanna call it! I’m happy you all here to see it!
