Gah! I feel like I've sent my baby off to summer camp...or boot camp or military school or something...My D800 is having some serious issues & it has been sent off to Nikon for repairs. I'm seriously stressed about this. In the meantime I will be using my D200. So...I better start reacquainting myself with this old friend...

Well, this is sweet! Busy with other things and changing family schedules, I was thinking of not doing a Portrait Event this fall. However, I've had a bunch of sweet requests for appointments, so maybe we could do an event or two! If you are interested in a $60 hour-long session at the Dallas Arboretum or at the Rose Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, let me know which location you'd like and what Sat or Sun in Oct or Nov would work for you. I'll see if I can get a date that works for everybody & we'll go from there!

So, I've been editing this lovely girl's senior photos for a couple of days...disappointed by how fuzzy they are...nothing too bad--just not as sharp as I like them. Then I look at some earlier shots--like this one--and realize that the last shots were fuzzy because we were being chased out of the closed Arboretum, and I am such a rule-follower and was so afraid that we were going to get yelled at again, that I just couldn't hold the darn camera as steady as usual!
I would also like to point out that this adorable, sweet-as-pie girl was resistant to taking non-smiling pictures. THIS girl! I mean--look at that face! GOOOOOORGEOUS!!!!! More to come, dear, but I just wanted to share this one & tell you that you are stunning.

For those of you who are scheduled for tomorrow's Portrait Event: plan to arrive early. Parking is INSANE in the membrane at the Arboretum on weekends! Unfortunately, I cannot add time to the end of your session if you are late. My schedule is just too full. See you tomorrow!

Well, we are set for this Sunday at the Arboretum...which is great! There is (according to TWC) a 30% chance of rain that day! which is NOT great. I'm calling April 19th the makeup rain day (the Saturday before Easter.) if that doesn't work for you, let me know!
