Day 3 final post of the Mesa County Fantasy Faire ! ⚔️✨

From incredible performances and medieval adventures to talented artisans, unique vendors, and all the amazing characters who brought the Faire to life, this weekend was truly one for the books. A huge shoutout to some of the incredible performers and groups who helped make the magic happen!
⚔️ The Avant Guard Troupe: Bringing theatrical performances, storytelling, and a little Shakespearean magic to the Faire!
🎪 Grand Valley Cirque: Always putting on an incredible show!
🏴‍☠️ Highland Rogues: Bringing the pirate adventures, cannon salutes, and weapons demonstrations!
🎶 Chi Yun the Bard and Susan Cypher and the Nightbird: Filling the Faire with music and entertainment!
📖 Raina Froste: Sharing a little literary magic with fantasy book readings!
👑 The Royal Court: Bringing elegance and a touch of Regency charm to the festivities!

And of course, a huge thank you to all the vendors, artists, makers, guilds, volunteers, and organizers who worked so hard to make this event possible. There were so many incredible small businesses and talented individuals to discover throughout the weekend.

Day 2, post 2/3 of the Mesa County Fantasy Faire ! ⚔️✨

From fierce pirate challenges and incredible performances to mesmerizing fire acts, dancing, and a little bit of medieval mischief, the second day was nothing short of magical!

There was so much talent, creativity, and excitement around every corner. I absolutely loved capturing all the little moments that made this weekend so special.

I’m looking for nominations for upcoming editions of Moonlight Monthly’s Creative Spotlight!

One of my favorite things about running Moon Media is getting to connect with other creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners in our community. I want to use my platform to celebrate the people behind the businesses that make the Western Slope so special. Each Creative Spotlight gives a local business owner the opportunity to share their story, their passion, and what makes their business unique through an interview, photography, and a dedicated feature on my website!

Consider this my official fall photography wishlist. 🍂📸 I love a classic fall session, but this season has SO much potential beyond just sweaters and pretty leaves. I want moody, romantic, spooky, dramatic, editorial, playful… all of it. 👀

Basically, I have a LOT I want to create before the leaves disappear and Colorado decides it’s winter. 😂

Day 1, post 1/3 from Mesa County Fantasy Faire ✨

Day one was packed with so much fun and so many incredible performances! From the cannon ceremony, costume contest, to bagpipes and tap dancing by the Rocky Mountain Scott’s, Robin Hood presented by The Avant Guard Troupe, a full pirate transformation 🏴‍☠️, a beautiful performance by Grand Valley Cirque, and interactive D&D with Valley Of The Nerds 🐉

And that was only a glimpse of everything happening throughout the day. So many talented artists, vendors, performers, and characters brought the Fantasy Faire to life. 🏰⚔️

One thing we need to stop doing as small business owners: waiting for our businesses to look successful before we start treating them like they are. 👀
You don’t need a fully booked calendar, thousands of followers, or everyone else’s validation to take what you’re building seriously.

Invest in the experience. Take your branding seriously. Create the systems. Show up like the business you’re working toward becoming.
Build for where you’re going, not just where you are. 🤍
