📱 Why do wedding photographers ask you to put your phone away?

📸 Phones can block moments that can never be repeated. Raised screens hide faces, block the photographer’s view and can mean missing that first kiss or a parent's reaction.

🎨 Clutter matters too. Rows of phones, bright cases, bags and other items can distract from the couple and the style they've carefully created for their wedding.

❤️ Be present, not behind a screen. I want to capture the laughter, happy tears, genuine reactions and all those little moments that make your wedding yours.

💍 And here's something couples might not realise: The fewer phones in the air, the more moments I can capture and deliver in your final gallery. More visible faces, more genuine reactions and more memories to look back on.

🔒 Let the couple see their professional photographs before sharing your own online.

I love immersing myself in a day of fun, family and everything that naturally unfolds. I try to stay out of the way most of the time, capturing things as they happen, but I’ll step in with direction when it’s needed.

If you’re looking for perfectly posed, heavily Photoshopped images, I may not be the right photographer for you. I don’t Photoshop my photos. I believe in keeping things natural, true to life and authentic to the day.

I’m currently right in the middle of my crazy busy fall season, and I’m pretty backed up with editing. I have room on weekends for small wedding for elopements end of October - no other shoots till mid November - booking 2027 ❤️

From photographing Ayden and Riley’s proposal in Arches National Park to then being asked to photograph their wedding at Gansberg Ranch near Lake Tahoe… what an adventure!

I drove all the way out to Lake Tahoe along the Loneliest Highway in America for their wedding, and it turned into one awesome road trip. Beautiful scenery, a great couple, and a pretty unforgettable experience.

I love where this photography journey takes me! 📸

It’s amazing how quickly time flies - Ashley and Michel’s one year anniversary is only 4 days away!

Their fun wedding day at Monument Vista Place is now on the blog. This was such a great location with incredible views, plenty of room to relax, and so many options for photos.

I’m excited to be back at Monument Vista Place at the end of this month for another wedding, this time with two vehicles for portraits — one black and one white. I’m looking forward to seeing what we create!
