another day behind the camera in the books.. Days like today make me feel thankful for the courage the Lord has given me. Iโ€™ve opened so many doors just by simply sticking my neck out and asking the questions, by starting a conversation and being vulnerable to potentially being turned down.

This also connects back to the incredible message Heather Compton shared at the GaitWay Gala last night. Not only do I feel confidence in knowing the Lord is with me every step of the way; but my own experiences have also aided in my success. Growing up being that weird horse girl in middle school meant I was spending 12 hours a day at the barn on weekends & during the summer. I learned the struggle of cleaning 16 stalls on a 90 degree day or getting bucked off the same horse 3 times in the same day. Through all this I gained perseverance, patience and determination. Those skills are the same ones now opening doors to rooms Iโ€™d never imagined Iโ€™d be invited into. So here is a thank you to the horse. To every horse Iโ€™ve met, youโ€™ve shaped my life into one Iโ€™m excited to be living.
