Apple Date Center in Maiden North Carolina, near Hickory. If you have an Apple Device, iPhone, iPad, or Mac and live in the south east, your data is stored at this iCloud facility. It is a 500,000 Square foot facility with lots of computers in it. Note all of the air conditioning units to keep it cool. They also have a 200 acre solar farm to collect electricity from the sun to help run this center. This is one of the largest privately owned solar farms in the country.

Tapoco Dam, near Lake Fontana NC on the Little Tenneessee River. This was the dam featured in the 1993 movie The Fugitive starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones where Ford jumped off of the dam to get away from Jones.

Hwy 45 bridge over the Ohio River from Paducah Kentucky to Brookport Illinois. It was built in 1929. Bridge length is over 1 mile at 5387 feet with the main span at 716 feet. Kind of thrilling to drive across a nearly hundred-year-old bridge, narrow and wobbly.
