I just adore this image. Probably because I adore this family. But also because it gives me such a sense of peace....even when I know this is one of the busiest locations to shoot in during the fall. :)

So grateful to everyone who continues to trust me to capture their magic.

A few weeks ago I had the absolute joy of meeting this sweet family and photographing their new baby girl for a Fresh 48 session. Her Dad told me when I walked in that she smiled a lot but I still couldn't believe just how many adorable smiles we captured! I think she already feels how very loved she is. ♥️

I have not advertised these Fresh 48 sessions in the past because, by the nature of needing to be there before the baby and Mama are released from the hospital, they require a lot of flexibility for scheduling. They are some of my absolute favorites though - capturing the love and simplicity of those first few days that pass by in a blur. Now that I have more weekday time available with my own girls in school though, I'd love to schedule more of these! Let me know if you're interested or have questions.

Hey friends! How was your summer? It was such a fun one for our family! We took quite a few trips into the city to cross things off our summer bucket list. One of those items was riding the Centennial Wheel at Navy Pier - which looks down on the spot where this beautiful session took place!

Now that my girls are back in school I'll post soon with an update on my fall availability!

When it comes to maternity images, do you prefer to be dressed in something you would normally wear? Or do you like to glam it up a little in a maternity gown? I like both styles for different reasons. I also know it can be a bit tricky, especially for a studio session, to envision what your images will look like so I asked my beautiful sister-in-law to come in and model both for me!

I'd love to know which style speaks to you!
