On 18 May, country-rock pioneer Richie Furay put on a truly memorable acoustic concert at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD. Joined on the stage by his daughter Jesse Lynch, Furay’s setlist from the evening was a mixture of his solo work, as well as fan-favorite tracks from his time with Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band. At 82 years old and with more than six decades of singing experience, Furay continues to deliver heartfelt, emotional concerts that serve as a celebration of his journey as a musician.

On 9 May, Yacht Rock the Dock came to Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland. Situated in the Inner Harbor with a stunning view of the Chesapeake Bay, a truly legendary line-up of musicians came ashore. The headliner for the evening was 1970s soft rock legends Ambrosia and featured performances by John Ford Coley (England Dan & John Ford Coley), Peter Beckett's Player (lead singer of Player), Elliot Lurie (lead singer of Looking Glass), and Walter Egan.

On 28 April, legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth brought his Pictures of Destiny tour to Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD. The tour not only celebrates the 50th anniversaries of Scorpions albums “In Trance” and “Virgin Killer,” but also serves to highlight his own work blending classical music influences with guitar. To many fans’ delight, Roth opened the evening by announcing he and his band, in the second half of the concert, would be playing “Virgin Killer” in its entirety.

On 22 April, British pop/rock band BBMAK brought an evening of upbeat grooves and swoon-worthy tunes to Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD. BBMAK, an acronym for the last names of its members, Christian Burns, Mark Barry, and Stephen McNally, formed in 1996 in Liverpool, England. Following the release of their debut album “Sooner or Later,” in 2000, the album was Certified Gold by the RIAA, with their song “Back Here” becoming an instant hit, reaching #1 in Japan and peaking at #13 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

On 12 April, Japanese R&B & J-pop singing sensation Crystal Kay (クリスタルケイ) delivered a stellar performance at Washington DC’s 2026 Sakura Matsuri - Japanese Street Festival. Formed in 1962 as a small community festival, this year marks the festivals 64th iteration. The two-day event features musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, food vendors, sake tastings, artisan crafts, cultural exhibits, and more. In its first year, 1,000 people attended the festival. This year, Sakura Matsuri saw over 40,000 attendees across the two-day festival.
