Update:

I have tried to maintain privacy and quiet for a many reasons. Transparently I have been extremely behind on delivering images and I have nothing but accountability loves. My momma having her stroke and just life has just been one road block after another. I’m incredibly grateful for the patience and understanding. Working around the clock is a priority to get everything back on track loves!

She is being moved today and this is a tremendous milestone for her and my family to bring her home. Please continue to pray and pour love into her!

Closed today and tomorrow to go see my Mama in Rapid City. I will be launching some last openings. All senior galleries will be delivered by Thursday this week. My yearbook will go off for all my seniors October 25. Please make sure to send me the image number, a screenshot of the image (some clients have renumbered images after delivery, this ensures I submit the right one, and confirm your school.

Tensley Class Of 2027

This beautiful babe danced in the light with me in the fields of June. Her Mama, best friend, and I had so much fun! I loved the freedom to create in mixed light with her. I love her free spirit, willingness to chase the artistic side of images, and her beautiful soul!

Effective immediately:

Unfortunately due to several misuse of cell phones during my sessions, they will no longer be allowed. What was permission to take behind the scenes images has turned into capturing images of actual poses, etc. This is disrespectful to me as an artist. My posing. My location scouting. My lighting. My HARD work and a misrepresentation of my final product. I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience this causes for those who have been so respectful. It takes a couple of misuse of my good graces for it to be ruined for everyone. I am so sorry to have to make this a universal rule. I cannot police everyone with cell phones and what they are capturing, therefore the rule will apply to everyone. Thank you to everyone who has been respectful of my time and work. Please trust me as your photographer and be present with me during our session. xoxo

Little update:
I feel exhausted, calm, and grateful! What started out as a need to step back and not work as much turned in to a full swing season again. Whoops. It is very hard to have built a clientele over 20 years and even fathom of saying no to someone that I adore and have captured! I am approaching a major needed trip in November and I wish I could say it is for fun. I will share more down the road but for now I just want privacy, good vibes, and prayers. I am so blown away at the images I have captured this season. I needed to schedule every single session for what is coming for me. What was supposed to be a summer of chasing light it turned in to a battle of the elements! I captured amazing in those as well! I am just trying to get my head above water! I had more travel sessions than ever this year and when several reschedule due to weather it catapults you in to absolute utter chaos! I was just expressing my need to slow down on the road and then the emergency with my mama. Rest assured I have trained my mental system to handle all of this as calm and collected as I can, but I need a minute to get my bearings. If you are waiting for me please continue to be patient. I will never compromise quality and the most important for me right now is to capture everyone as they deserve and protect the safety of images. On a positive note I did not lose my Mama! I was just chatting about what I wanted to do for her 70th this year and I still get that chance! Thank you to everyone who has reached out and prayed! We have many challenges ahead of us but she is showing resilience like no other! We could sure use all the prayers for the days ahead.

I will be running a few last minute minis to fill the remaining of the season for me! Stay tuned!

I have not posted on social media a lot as I would like to be more present in life professionally and personally.

The last 48 hours are a blur. My beautiful mother Loretta suffered a stroke and currently has a large brain bleed. She was transported to rapid city. Myself, my sister Kristin, and my dad were able to get here while other family stayed home to handle things back home. We are weary, teary, and trying to navigate what happened all while keep her calm and resting. We don’t know what the future holds right now.

As a business owner I will continue to work as scheduled unless something shifts, and I will prioritize my mother. I will make my deadlines, I always do. I’m a boss like that. Today, I need to reset and restore so I can show up for her.

I will update as I can. In the meantime please lift my mother in prayer.

This session means more to us for things we may never share. It is hers to tell. Perhaps one day she will. In the meantime, please take a moment to pour love into my beautiful girl! Compliment, inspire, share all the amazing beautiful words she deserves to hear. My first love, one who grew up with the hard parts of me and still has the absolutely most beautiful heart. I am so inspired by her grace and presence. I love over the moon my first love.
