My cousin Amanda wrote this on my wall (remember when that was a thing?) 13 years ago today, before I started this business, and it reminds me why I am so glad I made photography a bigger part of my life: “I was thinking about your photography last night as I gleefully saw the photos you posted of our adventures, and as I see the comments people make about your pictures. And I realized something wonderful.

I am finishing up an awesome book called "The Happiness Project," by Gretchen Rubin. It's one of those life-changing reads and I would recommend it to anyone.

Anyway, the author cites a lot of research about happiness, and one finding is that the happiness we experience during events can be prolonged by reliving those memories through photographs and other keepsakes. She makes it a goal to "be a treasure trove of happy memories" and starts to keep scrapbooks of photos and other mementos to extend her happiness.

I realized that you, my friend and cousin, are a treasure trove of happy memories for so many people. I relive happy times every day through your lens, and it helps me eke out as much possible joy as I can from the things we do together.

My sincere and heartfelt thanks! You are much appreciated.”

I have 2 more slots Sept 5 booking link in comments), and it also works for a standard 30 minute session here any time, all the way into November when the leaves on the opposite bank change color.
